On September 26, the integrated project of Lianhong Gerun New Energy Materials and Biodegradable Materials achieved overall mechanical completion in Tengzhou, Zaozhuang. It is expected that the project will complete the entire process and achieve full-scale production by the end of this year.
As a major project in Shandong Province, the Lianhong Gerun Integrated Project has a total investment of 12.5 billion yuan and covers an area of approximately 1,700 mu. Its main construction content includes production units and related supporting facilities such as a 1.3 million ton/year methanol-to-olefins (DMTO) unit, a 200,000 ton/year ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) unit, a 300,000 ton/year propylene oxide (PO) unit, a 50,000 ton/year polypropylene carbonate (PPC) unit, and a 240,000 ton/year polyether polyol (PPG) unit. The project started site leveling in February 2023 and fully commenced civil engineering construction in April 2024. During the peak period, the number of on-site operating personnel exceeded 12,000. The overall mechanical completion this time has set a new record for the construction speed of similar projects.
At the mechanical completion ceremony, Zheng Yueming, Chairman of Lianhong Group and Lianhong Xinke, stated that the Lianhong Gerun Integrated Project is the project with the largest investment and the most units in the 2.0 phase of Lianhong's strategy, and it is of great significance for solidifying the foundation for Lianhong's future development. He hoped that the project team would achieve seamless connection between production preparation and trial operation, ensure the project is successfully commissioned at one time, and strive to make the project a model of safe and green operation, innovation and creation, and efficient operation in the industry.
It is understood that by the end of 2025, all projects planned in the 2.0 phase of Lianhong's strategy will be fully implemented. The business layout of the four major sectors – new energy materials, biomaterials, electronic materials, and specialty materials – will become clearer, the product range will be more abundant, and the scale will reach a new level.
