Packaging and Shipping Information
Industrial cumphenyl can be packaged in clean, dry small open iron drums, net weight of 180KG/ barrel, or shipped in special tank cars, tank cars should have a ground chain, filling coefficient should consider the volume expansion caused by temperature changes during transportation. When filling, attention should be paid to the flow rate (not exceeding 3m/s), and there is a grounding device to prevent static electricity accumulation.
Operation and Storage
Industrial isopropyl benzene should be stored in a cool, ventilated warehouse (warehouse temperature should not exceed 30℃), away from fire, heat source, prevent direct sunlight. It should be stored separately from the oxidant.
Industrial cumene transportation should prevent sunlight exposure, summer the best morning and evening transportation. Handle lightly to prevent damage to the packaging container.
Application
1. It is mainly used in the production of phenol and acetone, a-methylstyrene, and isopropyl benzene hydroperoxide, etc. It can also be used as additives to improve the octane number of fuel oil, synthetic spices and raw materials of polymerization initiator.
2. It is an intermediate in the production of the herbicide isopropyl (n-4-isopropyl phenyl-N ',N' -dimethylurea) and an important intermediate in the manufacture of phenol.
3. Used in organic synthesis and as a solvent.
