EVA (Ethylene VinylAcetate Copolymer) is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate (VA). According to the different VA content, EVA products are roughly divided into three categories: ①EVA resin: VA content 5% ~ 40%, transparent particles, mainly used for polyethylene modification, manufacturing wire and cable materials, films and other molding products. EVA elastomer: VA content 40% ~ 70%, mainly used as rubber elastomer and PVC (polyvinyl chloride) modifier. ③EVA emulsion: VA content 70% ~ 95%, mainly used as adhesives and coatings, coatings. The main raw material of photovoltaic film is EVA photovoltaic material, VA content is generally 28%-33%, its advantages are reflected in five aspects: high adhesion, strong durability, high transmittance, high melting finger, easy flow, convenient storage.
Before 2020, China's EVA has no new production capacity, and later in the context of "carbon peak, carbon neutral", the global photovoltaic industry has entered a period of rapid growth, which has brought sufficient and stable demand increase to EVA photovoltaic materials. According to statistics, in 2021, China's EVA new production capacity of 500,000 tons/year, the industry's total production capacity reached 1.472 million tons/year
