Dicyclohexylamine is a fine chemical intermediate which is widely used. Dicyclohexylamine is usually a by-product of cyclohexylamine production. In general, catalytic hydrogenation of aniline to cyclohexylamine is used in our country, and dicyclohexylamine is co-produced. According to different reaction conditions and catalysts, different proportions of cyclohexylamine and dicyclohexylamine can be obtained. If not adjusted, about 10% dicyclohexylamine can generally be obtained by byproduct.
Before the domestic production of cyclohexylamine is not big, the combined production of dicyclohexylamine did not attract attention. However, the rapid increase of cyclohexylamine production in China since 2000 was mainly due to the rapid increase of the output of its downstream products. 90% of domestic cyclohexylamine is used in the production of food sweetener sodium cyclohexylsulfamate (cyclamate) and rubber accelerator N-cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazolisulfonamide (CBS). The exports of cyrsweet from 2000 to 2002 were 6509 tons, 9385 tons and 12593 tons. The production of rubber accelerator CBS was 5,500 tons, 11,721 tons and 13,000 tons, respectively. It can be seen that the domestic cyclohexylamine market is expanding rapidly. It is expected that many domestic enterprises will expand the production of cyclohexylamine devices this year, and the consumption will increase from about 5000 tons in 2000 to about 14000 tons, with an annual capacity of 18,000 tons.
The rapid increase of production capacity of cyclohexylamine plant inevitably leads to the increase of resources of byproduct cyclohexylamine. Therefore, it is very important and necessary to develop the application of dicyclohexylamine and expand its market. Dicyclohexylamine is mainly used in the fields of synthetic rubber accelerators, metal corrosion inhibitors, surfactants, oilfield chemicals, medicine and pesticides. With the progress of science and technology, its new applications are constantly developed, and most of the fine chemicals synthesized by it are new products with promising development prospects.
N, n-dicyclohexyl-2-benzothiazole sulfonamide (DZ) can be prepared by the reaction of the rubber accelerator dicyclohexyl-2-benzothiazole with 2-mercaptan benzothiazole. Rubber accelerator DZ belongs to one of the highly efficient and safe secondary sulfonamide rubber vulcanization accelerator varieties encouraged by the state. In the secondary sulfonamide accelerator, its coke time is the longest, so the operation safety is high. In addition, vulcanized rubber has good mechanical and dynamic properties, mainly used in tires, tire turning, tape and shock absorbing products. The fatty acid salts and sulfates of the printing and dyeing additives dicyclohexylamine have the same detergents as soap. These salts are excellent emulsifiers and are mainly used in printing and dyeing and textile industries. Corrosion inhibitor and rust inhibitor dicyclohexamine can be synthesized into a variety of corrosion inhibitor and rust inhibitor with excellent properties. In the United States in the early 1980s, corrosion inhibition and rust prevention alone consumed 1,500 to 2,000 tons of dicyclohexamine per year. Dicyclohexylamine is used as corrosion inhibitor for steel equipment in natural gas, chemical industry and petroleum industry. In the process of distilling liquid coal, adding dicyclohexylamine can reduce the corrosion of fractionating column. In oil exploitation, acid is often added to speed up drilling. If dicyclohexamine is added to acid, it can prevent acid from corroding the drill bit. Adding dicyclohexamine into the electrolytic cell can be used to clean electrolytic deposits and protect the cell from corrosion. More importantly, solid dicyclohexylamine derivatives can be used as excellent performance of gas phase rust inhibitor, performance is better than the current domestic use of morpholine derivatives, this gas phase rust inhibitor not only prevent the corrosion of metal surface, but also can neutralize the carbon dioxide in the steam condensate, play a better rust prevention effect, widely used in the industrial field.
