
Product Description
Dimethylacetamide is a colorless, transparent liquid that can be mixed with organic solvents such as water, alcohol and ether. It is a polar solvent. The dimethylacetamide is thermally stable and does not decompose even at the boiling point, can be refined by distillation, and is stable in aqueous solutions but causes hydrolysis in the presence of acids and bases. Due to the introduction of ethyl groups into the molecular structure, the boiling point of dimethylacetamide is 10°C higher than that of dimethylformamide (153°C).So it has better thermal stability and chemical stability than dimethylacetamide. In organic synthesis, dimethylacetamide is an excellent catalyst for speeding up reactions such as cyclization, halogenation, cyanidation, alkylation and dehydrogenation, as well as increasing the yield of major products.

Product Purpose
1、DMAC is mainly used as a solvent for the spinning of synthetic fibers (acrylonitrile) and polyurethane and for the synthesis of polyamide resins. It is also used as an extractive distillation solvent for the separation of styrene from C8 fraction and widely used in polymer films Paint and medicine and so on. At present, it is widely used in medicine and pesticide to synthesize antibiotics and pesticide insecticides.
2、Can be used as a reaction catalyst; electrolytic solvent; paint scavenger and a variety of crystalline solvent adducts and complexes.
3、Used as solvent, paint remover, catalyst and for organic synthesis.
