Double pentaerythritol, referred to as double season, white octagonal powder crystallized powder, double season as an important fine chemical intermediate, mainly used in the coating industry. White crystalline solid. Non-toxic. No hygroscopicity. Slightly soluble in water. Insoluble in ethanol, acetone and benzene. It is a by-product of the production of pentaerythritol by condensation of formaldehyde and acetaldehyde in mineral medium, and can be separated and recovered from pentaerythritol by step crystallization. It is mainly used in the manufacture of alkyd resin, drying oil, rosin ester and fire resistant agent.

Operation and Storage
