Product Information
Anhydrous sodium perchlorate is white square or rhombic crystal, no hygroscopicity. Soluble in water and ethanol, methanol, acetone, insoluble in ether. Relative density 2, 532, melting point 482℃ (decomposition). Industrial sodium perchlorate generally exists in the form of monohydrate, molecular formula NaCI04.H20, molecular weight 140.44, the appearance of a white hexagonal crystal, moisture absorption, melting point 130℃ (decomposition). The relative density is 2.02. Soluble in water and ethanol. The temperature of conversion from monohydrate salt to anhydrous salt is 52.75 ℃. Sodium perchlorate is a strong oxidizing agent, mixed with organic matter, combustibles or reducing substances, by impact vibration or friction, can explode. Explosions can also occur in contact with concentrated sulfuric acid.

Packed in woven bags lined with plastic bags or flame-retardant plastic drums, each packing net weight 25kg or 50kg. The "Oxidizer" and "explosive" labels should be clearly displayed on the packaging. Belongs to the first class inorganic oxidizer, danger code: GB 5.1 Class 51018. UN N0.1502; IMDG CODE 5182 pages, Class 5.1. It should be stored in a cool, ventilated and dry warehouse. The package must be sealed. It shall not be stored and transported with inflammable and explosive items, organic matter, reducing agent, spontaneous combustion items, oil and concentrated acid, sulfur, phosphorus, etc., during the transportation process to prevent rain and exposure, pay attention to moisture. Handle gently during loading and unloading. Collision or friction is strictly prohibited. In case of fire, it can be put out with water, sand and various fire extinguishers.
Application
A strong oxidizing agent, mainly used as a raw material for the manufacture of perchloric acid and other perchlorates. Used in the gunpowder industry.
